You will, of course, be interested to learn of your fee calculation for 2010/11 and 60% of firms, mostly small firms, will see their fees decrease. The A fee block for higher impact firms will see a substantial increase. The 2nd article on page 4, Regulation Round-up really is a must read for all firms and thankfully the Round-up is short as are the One Minute Guides which although brief, are useful. We have experience of FSA Supervisors referring to these notes and guidance on telephone ‘visits’ and Directors pleading ignorance only prompt the FSA towards an on site visit.
IFAs may care to study the two ABI articles, bottom of page 4 and top of page 5, which may well provide a very lucrative source of new business.
